The optional Rating Module can be added to Charge it to provide a configurable real time rating function, capable of rating based on events, sessions, duration, volume, bandwidth, content type etc... This module is suitable for all pre and post paid requirements. The Rating Module covers four key functional areas :

The Charge it Rating Module is a carrier grade rating engine, offering operators the benefit of true prepaid and post-paid convergence. The distributed real-time architecture has been designed from the outset to handle the explosion in charging event volumes that will result from the introduction of complex IP based services. Using the power of the underlying Rating Scripting Language (RSL), the module offers powerful product modelling capabilities, enabling price schemes to be based on one or more of any usage attribute presented to the system from the network. The flexible rating engine business logic enables innovative cross product pricing schemes to be quickly created and deployed.
