>Mike Frayne
Chairman

Mike joined VoluBill as an Independent Non-Executive Director in November 2006 and was appointed Chairman in September 2007. Mike has an outstanding reputation as an influential force in the global telecoms industry, as well as a long history of accomplishments and leadership. In 1997, Mike co-founded Intec Telecom Systems, and served as Executive Chairman until 2005. During his time at Intec, Mike played a crucial role in establishing the UK based company as one of the biggest providers of business and operational support systems (BSS/OSS) in the world. In addition to VoluBill, Mike currently holds board positions at Agillic and VisionOSS.
>John Aalbers
CEO and Executive Director

John brings to VoluBill extensive experience in building high growth businesses based on innovative products. With an entrepreneurial zeal, John leads VoluBill from the front with a customer focused, “can-do” approach. John joined VoluBill from fast growing Intec Telecom Systems, where as VP of Charging and Billing Products, John was responsible for the P&L and direction of Intec’s fastest growing product lines, including Singl.eView and the Dynamic Charging Platform (DCP). Prior to joining Intec, John built successful businesses in EMEA and APAC for CGI (Computer Generation Inc.) culminating in the sale of CGI to Intec for $268M in 2000. John has direct experience in sales and business development, strategic and product marketing, delivery and support, acquisition integration and customer and partner management.

>Eric Buatois
Non-Executive Director

Eric Buatois, General Partner, joined Sofinnova Ventures in 2001 to focus on the telecommunications sector. Eric has more than 18 years of experience in the communications industry.

He had a 14-year tenure with Hewlett-Packard, where he had business management, profit and loss, and global strategic responsibilities through leadership roles based in Europe and the United States. He joined H-P's French operations in 1987 to lead product strategy for the company's Telecom Systems business unit, which encompassed global divisions. In 1994, Eric relocated to Sweden, where he served as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Ericsson Hewlett-Packard Telecommunication AB, a $200 million global joint venture specializing in network management systems and billing systems for service providers. He also served on the Board of EHPT. In 1998, Eric moved to H-P's U.S. headquarters, where he became General Manager of H-P's $340 million Communication Solution business unit.  Eric serves as Chairman of the Board for UPEK and Crocus Technology.
>Valérie Gombart
Non-Executive Director

Valérie started her career as an analyst with Banque Populaire Creation seed investment fund. In 1997, she was involved with the launch of the first FCPI (Fonds Commun de Placement dans l’Innovation) in France, sponsored by Spef Venture ; she has since invested more than 50 M€ around 25 high-tech start-ups. Valérie graduated from ESC Nantes and holds a Master degree in Law.

Within Seventure Partners, Valérie is the General Partner in charge of the ICT Department.

Valérie funded and sat on the Board of Directors of Maximiles (Alternext), Memscap (Eurolist C), VistaPrint ltd (Nasdaq), Parrot (Eurolist B), from first VC round to IPO. Valérie is a board member of Sefas, Quescom, VoluBill and Xiring.

>Cyril Bertrand
Non-Executive Director

Cyril Bertrand is a Partner at Xange Captial where he is responsible for core-technology investments and for the German-speaking area. Cyril has prior venture capital experience at DVC (Munich, Germany) where is was responsible for the Telecom & Semiconductor investments, and at TeleSoft Partners (San Mateo, CA). Cyril is a non-exec board director of Apertio (UK), MergeOptics (Germany), Panoratio (Germany), Powerlase (UK) and is an observer at BigMachines (US). Prior to that, his 7-year tenure at Alcatel brought him to the position of Director in charge of creating and growing Alcatel’s first generation of 802.11 products across France, Spain and Israel in 2000.
>Ken Alwyn
Non-Executive Director

Ken Alwyn joined VoluBill as an Independent Non-Executive Director in April 2008. He recently retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he was a Senior Partner in the US Firm. During his 39 year career at PwC, he worked with major multinational corporations as well as entrepreneurially-owned high growth companies across a wide spectrum of Industries, including High Technology and Venture Capital. Ken has worked extensively abroad (Asia, Australia, Europe and the Middle East), and has held significant International roles during his career at PwC. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), fluent in several languages and is a recipient of a Knighthood in the Order of the Legion of Honour (L’Ordre National de La Legion d’Honneur) bestowed by the French Government.
